There were on time, left the space clean, everything as promised. The only thing that would had made their service 5 starts is the plant treatment. Even though they let you know that they will try to save your plants, they don't do a very good job at it. They literally just take them out, if they have to cut the roots to make their job easier and faster they will do it. There is no effort in actually doing something to save them. I had to put them in buckets, put dirt on them as they take them out with no dirt at all. 100% of the plants they replanted have or are in the process of dying, and I have been watering them daily. Stratum had come out 2 years ago to survey the house and make recommendations. They originally went with the more conservative (less expensive) option of a root barrier, and asked me to be patient to see if things settled down over the next year. They just came out again and although my garage (the original reason for the call 2 years ago, and the root barrier) had maybe moved a bit more. I was reassured that the cosmetic damage in the house was due to our bazaar rainfall over the past two years and normal stressing of a foundation. That my foundation was actually performing very well. They did not recommend anything aggressive for foundation stabilization. In fact, he basically spent half an hour educating me on my foundation (turns out it is post tension) and what to watch for as reasons to call them back. You rarely get contractors that are this honest, and don't try to take a consumer's fear and turn it into a sale. The workers came out the day they were supposed to, and did the work in less than 1 day. They dug the holes as required, and cleaned up afterwards with no issues. The foreman checked the 'final' levels inside the house and coordinated with the workers outside. The plumber came a week later and performed the post-work pressure test, and found no issues. He came and looked at the place and figured that’s probably what was happening. He told us he could drill into the floor to check, but he’d have to charge us for it and that it was a simple test to run ourselves to drill into the floor and drop a dowel in there to see if it came back up wet, so we went ahead and did it ourselves and found water. He came back out, drilled more holes and filled it with expanding foam stuff. A week later we still saw evidence of water coming up, so he came back and filled in more foam. The kicker? He didn’t charge us for the 2nd visit because he hadn’t fixed it fully on his first visit. That’s good service right there.
