I had foundation issues with my home, and I hired Stratum for the repairs. They installed over 15 piers, using concrete, steel, or hybrid materials, and they were flexible in adjusting the number and locations of piers according to my preferences. Before working with them, I compared a few other companies and also hired an external engineer for a more objective opinion. The pier installation plan Stratum proposed aligned well with my own plan, and the measurements were similar to what I had in mind. Communication with Ryan was quick and accurate.My initial schedule was set for about a month later, but they adjusted it and moved me up by about two weeks as soon as an earlier slot became available. On the day of the project, their crew arrived on time and professionally went over the pre-construction checklist with me. They even asked for my input on where and how the drilling would take place. The cleanup afterward was thorough and well-done.After the pier installation, the post-engineering report from my third-party engineer stated that the balance they achieved was nearly perfect, with no excessive or insufficient corrections made. (The engineer I hired is not affiliated with Stratum in any way.) I’m very happy I chose to work with Stratum, and I’m extremely satisfied with the results.

Not gonna lie…I was dreading having to deal with foundation issues after the severe drought and record high temperatures of 2022 here in McKinney. Stratum repaired the foundation of my property in March 2023. They were professional, answered all my questions and did exactly what they said they were going to do, like they said they were going to do it and when they said they where going to do it. I guess you can’t ask for more than that! As to the repair itself, i can say that it was evaluated by a state licensed engineer and it received the certification as meeting or exceeding requirements by the state. Foundation of Gym floor in our daycare Center had sunk some 10.5 inches at one end causing a visible down slope and ridge along the entire length of the gym. The Repair called for 22 piers along the entire back and sides of the structure. The work was scheduled on a weekend starting at 7am each day. The crew arrived early, worked straight through, and finished before 3 pm that first day. The result was amazing. The entire floor was leveled and the visible ridge dissapeared! All the doors had been adjusted, air conditioners repositioned, and no visible plumbing problems found. Very professional workers, easy to talk to, and very accomodating. Stratum installed 17 piers at my home. That part of the work was done without any problems. There were on time, left the space clean, everything as promised. The only thing that would had made their service 5 starts is the plant treatment. Even though they let you know that they will try to save your plants, they don't do a very good job at it. They literally just take them out, if they have to cut the roots to make their job easier and faster they will do it. There is no effort in actually doing something to save them. I had to put them in buckets, put dirt on them as they take them out with no dirt at all. 100% of the plants they replanted have or are in the process of dying, and I have been watering them daily. I think they should offer some kind of service where they actually try to save your plants.

I have a 50 year old home with a Slab foundation that had a broken and sunk about an inch. The brick chimney is on top of the piece of Slab that broke and sank. I contacted Stratum at the advice of my State Farm insurance agency and scheduled a diagnosis visit.Ryan came to the house promptly and we discussed the issues and he estimated the cost of putting in 8 Piers to re-level the slab and provided a contract on-line to start the work.I then scheduled the work for a Friday and their crew showed up, dug the holes, raised the slab, put in the Piers and checked the slab to the proper levels. Stratum was a joy to deal with. First, of the proposals I got, theirs made the most sense and was the most economical. They are very organized and all documents are online. Everything went smoothly through all steps of the process. This was a small job on an attached garage addition. The lift was successful. The structure is bricked but relatively light so the pushed piers did not go very deep. There has been some settling already but hopefully it will hold. Their documentation says there could be settling and to wait 6 months before doing touch up or getting an adjustment.

We recently realized we had issues with our foundation so we asked around our neighborhood for recommendations. We were told to use Stratum by a number of people so we called them for an analysis and quote along with 2 other companies. Both of the other companies recommended less work (installation of piers) which would have kept our overall cost down. However, we calculated that Stratum’s costs were not only in line with the others but actually cheaper considering the additional piers they installed. In addition, we were so impressed with the thorough “analysis” provided to us by Ryan and his explanation of why we needed the work that we chose Stratum. They were 100% professional, punctual and kept us informed of everything they were doing and why throughout the entire process. The crew chief and his crew were very nice and had answers to all the questions we had. They worked quickly and efficiently and while they did need to jackhammer through our front porch pad in a few places, they patched it and made it look very nice. The cleanup of the job was great as well. Ryan suspected a foundation plumbing leak was responsible for our foundation problems so he sent out a plumber to test and verify that. I began working with Stratum over a year ago when we noticed potential signs of our foundation settling. we had just recently purchased the home, and foundation repairs had been done during the option period, so we initially thought the issue may be related to those repairs. When the technician came out to take a look at what we were experiencing he was concerned that we may have a sub slab leak, and asked that we seek a hydrostatic test prior to him providing an estimate to ensure we weren't going to cause more damage by making modifications to the foundation. Due to his recommendation, we were made aware of a very serious underground leak, which allowed us to employ our underground leak coverage through our insurance. We maintained contact with Stratum over the course of the leak repair and the required wait period afterwards to allow for the foundation to resettle as the soil dried. When we finally were able to proceed with the work, Stratum was very easy to work with, with great communication and timely responses. Their crew showed up when they said they would, and everybody was well prepared and knowledgeable about the experience we had had up to that point and the reasons for the foundation repair at this time. They worked hard to protect our existing furniture and surfaces during the repairs and finished quickly and cleanly. they were very flexible, and worked well with us to ensure that our insurance company was aware of all proceedings. Hopefully, we will never need their services again, but in the event that we do we will not hesitate to reach out and seek additional service from Stratum.

I have to add to an earlier review from 2 years ago. I began to notice some new cracks in the house walls. Stratum had come out 2 years ago to survey the house and make recommendations. They originally went with the more conservative (less expensive) option of a root barrier, and asked me to be patient to see if things settled down over the next year. They just came out again and although my garage (the original reason for the call 2 years ago, and the root barrier) had maybe moved a bit more. I was reassured that the cosmetic damage in the house was due to our bazaar rainfall over the past two years and normal stressing of a foundation. That my foundation was actually performing very well. They did not recommend anything aggressive for foundation stabilization. In fact, he basically spent half an hour educating me on my foundation (turns out it is post tension) and what to watch for as reasons to call them back. You rarely get contractors that are this honest, and don't try to take a consumer's fear and turn it into a sale. This second interaction has secured my business, if and when we really need to pursue foundation work. Thanks Ryan!

Sometimes a company just does it right. First I read the Google reviews and selected 3 companies to obtain bids from, then I pondered and pondered. I was skeptical to use ANY company. Based on my gut and all the wonderful reviews, I picked Stratum. Though they were also the least expensive of the three I had received bids from, I did not select based on $$. The plumber found leaks and I had them fixed. The cement patchwork they did was FLAWLESS! Poor plumber told me he couldn't come close. I had Stratum come back out to fix the plumber patch. (Dont let anyone else patch your cement! My entire family couldn't believe how destroyed my yard looked for two days, then BAM, looked like they had never come. The cracks in my morter, GONE. the exterior damage from the shifting Foundation, GONE! TheyT placed the dirt where I needed dirt. Replaced my bushes as if they had never torn up my yard. Jason did a great job at helping us diagnose and fix a water filled void under our foundation. He came and looked at the place and figured that’s probably what was happening. He told us he could drill into the floor to check, but he’d have to charge us for it and that it was a simple test to run ourselves to drill into the floor and drop a dowel in there to see if it came back up wet, so we went ahead and did it ourselves and found water. He came back out, drilled more holes and filled it with expanding foam stuff. A week later we still saw evidence of water coming up, so he came back and filled in more foam. The kicker? He didn’t charge us for the 2nd visit because he hadn’t fixed it fully on his first visit. That’s good service right there. Hopefully we don’t ever need to call him again, but we’ll definitely be going back to stratum should we need foundation help again!

Stratum did work for my Father-in-law. He was selling his home and needed some foundation work done. He needed help finding a company to do the work. I had a few companies come meet me at his house for estimates. They were all very similar in price but there was a distinct comfortably with Stratum. They were not high pressure and educated me more on the process than the other 2 companies combined. Work was done in 1 day and my father-in-law had his home for sale the following week. We noticed cracks in the walls and in a couple of floor tiles. We had a few companies out, but were impressed with Stratum's professionalism and transparency. Stratum repaired our foundation just about a week and half ago. We immediately noticed the difference. Very professional administration, very professional crew, Edgar was the foreman on the job, he was great. Stratum owner, Ryan, stopped by as well to insure all was going well. We actually had them out a year ago to quote us and they recommended we get an engineering report, (which we did and which indicated we were ok at the time).
